The Real Group Secures Series A Investment
The Real Group, which operates the global fashion meta search engine ‘Realry’, recently secured a Series A investment of 6.2 billion won, bringing its total investment to 9.8 billion won. This investment included participation from U.S.-based venture capital (VC) firms Hanriver Partners (HRZ) and Strong Ventures.
Plans for AI Technology Integration
The Real Group expanded its category by acquiring the Austria-based sneaker search engine ‘Sneakers123’ last November and has successfully transitioned to profitability through improved revenue structures. The company plans to accelerate its transition into a commerce media platform incorporating AI technology based on this investment.
Global Partnerships and Talent Acquisition
Currently, The Real Group has partnerships with over 2,000 global brands and retailers based in London and New York, and its annual transaction volume in North America and Europe is expected to exceed 60 billion won. Additionally, it was selected for the global startup attraction program ‘GEP (Global Entrepreneur Programme)’ organized by the UK Department for International Trade (DIT), recognizing its growth potential and innovation in overseas markets.
CEO's Vision
The Real Group CEO An Seong-jun stated, “From the early stages of our service, we have designed our service by benchmarking the business model of global travel meta search engine Kayak.com, as well as data utilization methods, system operations, revenue, and cost structures comprehensively.”
